I am a July filer and was issued a RFE recently. The last update on my case happened a week after USCIS received my reply. I have not been notified for any fingerprinting.

Good job in starting this thread. I got frustrated like this a few months ago for the same reasons that you & the other members have mentioned here; it definitely resonates with mine. So, recently I have decided to move to Australia by applying for a PR and plan to be there for a few years before eventually moving back home.

Dear Friends,
Got Green cards and Welcome notices for me and my wife .
Surprisingly no uscis e-mail and online status is still "initial review"
Our journey in short :
How long in US : 10+ years
First Labor in 2002 . Changed job in three years before approval of labor
Second Labor in 2004 . Approved in 2007
Filed I140 and 485 - in July 2007
Since then I was enjoying EAD / AP with no complain .
I donate to IV now and then , but for some reason only once (for few days) got access to IV-Donor Forum . But always had a faith that IV is doing good work .
From non-donor IV forums and other forums I noticed that USCIS are transferring leftover Visas to other EB categories . I waited to see some thing coming to EB3 but ......nothing came .
My Lawyer told me that I can port to EB2 and it is a normal a process.
1. New Perm
Filed in Feb and approved in 10 days ( Prep work takes 3 to 4 months before filing )
2. EB2 I140 (TSC)
a. Filed in March - Premium Processing
b. My Lawyer sent interfiling letter along with I140 filing
c. Approved in 7 days (A# and Priority Date retained)
d. Same week got Green Cards and Welcome Notices:) - Super-fast Approval
e. No email and no updates on USCIS website
Not sure about the USCIS and Lawyer fees . My company paid for every thing.
Hope every one get the desired freedom asap and don't have to wait like me for 10+ years

I agree. These ETFs are too risky. With so many pros in the game nothing is easy nowadays. As you had mentioned in one of your post, the market for individuals is as close to gambling as it gets.
If you cannot make trading your profession then Invest don't trade. Or trade options where you don't have to watch tick by tick.

Can we discuss just immigration 365 days when we are the only ones doing it and policy makers dont care about us? We will go nuts doing it. What is the harm if we all discuss other stuff. On a side note, It appears that false propaganda is being spread about our taxes and SS contributions we make to raise more anti feelings about us.
To the contrary we contribute to the SS coffers without making use of it. We need to counter this.

Why can't we simultaneously have webfaxes + letters + phone calls + sit-ins + flower mailing + writing to newspapers etc. etc.?
The reason is that whatever the "action item" - it's more or less the same 500people who come forward.
Having said that - there is no stopping members to lead and motivate other members to join in an aciton item that they can "sell" to those other members.

In the end it comes downs to your risk profile and expected rate of return. For example Gold is supposedly safe, but is this a good time to buy ? It is at an all time high (Around $850-900 an ounce. It was around $250 an ounce in 2000). Will it go further up, most probably, but nobody can say how much. Will it come down - you bet.
My take is - all the things in the list are vehicles of diversification. In a portfolio you should have some gold, real estate, stocks, bonds etc. and you need to constantly re-balance your portfolio as per your situation.
Also, if like most people, you don't know how to time the market, dollar-cost averaging is a good option. If you want to add gold to your portfolio, don't buy all of it today. Buy it at intervals - a friend of mine had a very good way to do it. He bought a gold coin at every family occasion - Birthday, Anniversary etc.
If you are not in india, then you are somewhere to earn more than you do than in india. So investment is safe if you can afford to invest in that property without a loan. If you are taking a loan you are getting ripped off. STOP there.
to me agricultural land is next to investment in gold. agri land always holds value(sale value) or appreciates over time. Always you can get decent return by farming something there. So my belief is you always get 6%+ return on investment over short/long period of time.
city properties are just a ripp off. So get only one property if you want to live for yourself.. Investment of say 50 lacs on a flat(condo), may give you a good rent. But for how long? and what % of interest you pay on that loan? And what will the aging affect be on that flat!!...

i called a couple of times spoke to Inf officer at NSC ,
&& she told she was not aware of cases where NSC has created rejection letters and sent them also she added they just completed june filers and will be starting to proceed with JULY .
Now reg. my processing times:
Applied Jun 30
Receipt Jul 2 9:54 : FedEx
status : On Hold ?
Checks : Not cashed Yet
She also adviced most probably i should receive some kind of communication before end of july !!

But as I have noticed, there is a lot of misinformation being spread around H1-B holders. One of those is that H1-B holders don't pay taxes. I have now read it at so many places, if I didn't know anything about H1-B visas, I would probably have believed it by now. So we really should make a point to mention that we pay taxes and social security.

Perhaps, we need to tell the press this, although I haven't seen an article in a respected newspaper that makes such a claim (I could be wrong, and there may be such reports). Also, I don't know of any lawmaker who has said that H1Bs don't pay taxes.

why bother about I129 if you have a GC ?
I'm just keen to find out what's going on, and to get input on whether the I-129 being revoked is anything that can affect the I-140/I-485. I doubt it but would like to be sure. And to share what's going on in my case with others where it may have more of an impact if their H-1B ends up being revoked.
Anyway, I doubt if it's anything that can't be fixed; my company is very reputable and our attorneys are already engaged.

There seems to be no pattern among recent approval rate-My coworker didn't get any update from USCIS- he directly got his physical GC on 4th Sept.
We are still waiting, tried InfoPass, Raised SR, Contacted Senator etc.etc. I am willing to go to Lincoln,NE if that is what it will take to get GC:D

I just called all the numbers and left messages. Wouldn't it be more impactful if we have someone like Vinod Khosla represent us. These calls are great but someone who can walk directly into the Congresswoman/Congressman office will give us greater mileage in our efforts.
