As per our lawyers, right now USCIS is in the process of entering our applications in their system (for date of receipt and such). There was a memo from USCIS saying that they will be done with the job of data entry by August 1.
From August 1, we can expect either rejection or acceptance of the actual application. The hope is that a court/congressional intervention before August 1 will change the USCIS action of rejection into acceptance.

Honestly, these consultants don't even have an H1B worthy job: its not a permanent job offer. They don't get paid fulltime. Let alone their eligibility for a GC ....what a scam!

Thanks for the replies everyone.
In response to some responses, i am not "overly concerned" I was just wondering what their status was.
If the older core members who have received their GCs are indeed enjoying the fruits of their hard work, God bless them and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. My intent was never to start a hot debate. God knows we have tons of drama on the forums daily!! ;). (Soon the April VB will be released and more drama)

A lot of people are responsible for these happenings and a lot of people are responsible for exposing all this. Its not one person or one organization here in play.
Read the John Miano's testimony in Congress in July 2006. Do a google search and see.
There are people like him who have dedicated serious time and effort in exposing the misuse of H1B by a few bad apples and then use them to paint the entire H1B program as evil and unneccesary.
And no, we are not responsible for this.
The companies that exploit and the DOL that looks the other way when this happens, and the AILA that goes in lockstep with exploiting employers are responsible.

Anyways, this isnt about looking weak or strong against anti-immigrants. That is really not the issue here.
Its about how much we can have in our list of items. There is only so much anyone can do. Forget about us, even bigger organizations have priorities in order. Immigration Voice also has to have a priority. We cannot talk to anyone about fixing the H4 issues before the issues of retrogression are talked about. I got RFE on 485. My attorney filed reply for the same and it reached the USCIS office on 5th March 2009.
I observed LUD's for my I 485 on 5th and 6th March and after that from 13th to 17th March 2009 all five days continuously LUD's.
I do not have any application like I-129, EAD or AP pending for approval and my PD is not current.
Any clue guys?

Guys.. need your expert advice.
I am travelling next month out of the country for a week. I am currently on a valid H1B which is stamped on my passport but my 485 is pending and the dates are current. I also have a valid AP to use and return on.
Question i have is if i show my H1B visa at the port of entry and enter using that am i risking my 485 application in anyway?
Let me tell you the hypothetical situation i am talking about
lets say my 485 gets approved on sept 6th 2008 but has not been updated on the USCIS case status online. Also i enter the country on sept 6th 2008 on h1b status?
What happens then? do i lose my 485 status because the last status i enetered on 485???
Please gurus .. i really need to know if this is true? does coming on h1b invalidate your approved 485 ?

Experience - 8 Years in India and 3 years in USA with different employer.

You should not have gotton H1B visa in the first place, as H1b visas are for professionals and there are many professionals stuggle to get an h1b visas even after engineering degrees. In your case, IGNOU is a shame. Its worse than University of Pheonix. If you get a greencard in EB2, it will be a biggest mockery of the USCIS and department of labor.

Did you guys paid attention to this, when Inflation rose to 13% Indian Finance Minister said it is because Oil is at $160 a barrel, but now as Oil has come down, Inflation has come down worldwide Inflation is still above 12% in India. also, when Stock markets were at 22K Indian FM minister used to give Interviews every day it is because of great policies of UPA govt. Is it correct to say only nebraska Service center is issuing the rfe because they are pre adjudicating while Texas service center is not issuing rfe because they are not pre adjudicating 485. A vast majority of people getting rfe on 485 (95% or more) are from nebraska Service center.
My application is pending with the Texas Service Center. It appears that TSC is also pre-adjudicating.
