I am really proud to be part of the IV team. I am also proud of the fact that I am one among the few thousands to take part in the flower campaign and in the rally at San Jose. Kudos to us all!:)

F1 is not a scam. its legal visa. once u enter into usa on F1, u can stay here to study. while doing MS, u can also work on CPT legally. after completion of the MS degree, it is legal to stay on OPT and work. recently the US govt has increased the OPT period from 12 to 29 months. again its legal. its legal to apply for H1B while maintaining a proper F1 status or OPT.
People who dont like this.... dont either because they dont understand F1 very well, or just plainly speaking jealous or out of their mind.
i guess we should be happy if someone is making progress legally even if we are not in the same boat.:)

The point is all of us need to work together and help ourselves to change the system. IF EB2 gets some advantage then ultimately it will help EB3 as well.
It is a simple logic, when the cake gets cut it rolls down to all the people in line. If there is no cake, whats the point of arguing who is ahead in line?

Guys/Gals...
Sorry but do not want to be a damper... But this thread does not give me the right feeling. I have been a member of IV i think from dec 2005 and contributed quite a few hundered dollars and just like this organization as a simplistic, good non-profit orgnization with good intentions....
But in this thread we see a taunt... which is more like we will not have numbers in DC and then some triades...
So far whenever such type of hate comments are posted, I have noticed that the IV core/ Super moderators either close the threads or blacklist the user....
But in this case we see periodically (i think a couple of times) that super moderators are only making comments that we need to prove numbers so join the rally....
Sorry to say this but i feel either this stage managed ( the triades) or super moderators/ IV core are taking advantage of this thread.... Both I feel are inappropriate....
If I am wrong in what i have stated - My apologies to Supermoderators / IV Core.... But If I am right then I think personally it is a sad day since it lowered the image of IV in front of a great admirer.
IV does not stoop this level of staging and creating animosity. As always believe in IV and its efforts. Everyone is focussed in the rally and making it a success, there is so much behind the scenes stuff that needs to be done, IV core does not have the time to manage threads is all I would say at this time. Another member from CA has joined this challange. The member has contacted me and I have just now spoken to the member. The member wants to stay as an annonymous donor. So far he has contributed $1500 over the past few months.This member has pledged to pitch in with some more money when the total contributions from other members reach the 30,000 & 60,000 dollar mark. I grow different kind in my backyard. It all depends on the size of your backyard and which zone you live in states. I live in virginia. By this August end /september first week summer crop will end. I grow tomatoes(30 plants), Mint, snake guard, water melons (15 plants), cantaloupes(10 plants), carrots, okra, spinach , chillis. Its fun and hard work too. You need to dig the soil, mix with top soil or garden soil and cultivate it. Every week fertilize it. This is my first year gardening. I have around 3000 square ft of back yard. i do not know what to do with that. I cannot maintain Lawn in back yard. So I decided to grow vegetables.
I am eagerly waiting for my fall garden..I am planning to grow tulips,beets,cilantro,carrots,potato,peas etc., If I can get same space for garden In India and work place just 3 miles from home , I can happily go back to India.
Thanks for sharing. I am in California. I have about 1600 sq feet to grow our veggies. We use raised beds. I have grown everything you mentioned but could not get snake gourd (paduwal or podlanga). Where do you get the seeds from? I get seeds like Lauki (bottle gourd), Turai (Ridge gourd) etc from amazon. I was never able to grow cantaloupes and melons successfully.
September tomatoes will be ready to plant soon! Come October, cool season crops like spinach, dill, cabbage, broccoli etc will be planted.

I think you have to wait until you defend your thesis. My guess
You gets Masters Degree after you finish all the requirements and that
includes your thesis defence.
Then only you are eligible for the 20000 US Advanced Degree quota
After you finsih your defence, you submit the revised doc etc for archiving and when eventhing is done the
registrar's office receives all clear signal from department and then issues you a provisional degree letter stating that
degree is granted to you (thats when you have done your degree )

I think the IO just say anything that comes into their mind because they know nobody's there to hold them accountable during the interview process. Thats why I think one should take an attorney along during the interview process if they think their case maybe little complicated. At least the attorney can step in when it comes to the IOs denying your application improperly. Does anyone think this is a good idea to be on safer side?
