However, kindly note that immigrant friendly laws and economic (job) opportunities are different subjects.
People do not want to go to other countries because the job oppportunities are less. Not because the immigration rules are bad :)
People want to come to the USA because job opportunities are better, not because the immigration rules are friendly :)

My problem is different, its not with the passport, it is with the 485 and G 325 forms where last name first name got interchanged for my wife. It was a hectic week for me and when my attorney send all the finished forms, I only noticed 3 forms that were wrong and got them corrected. I over looked the 485, G325A form and now that everything is filed and have gotten the FP notice, do not know how to correct them.

EB3 quota for this year was exhausted a long time ago. We are not going to see any overflow into EB3 until EB2 has unused visas left at the end of the FY year. Letz just hope that the date moves forward when the new quota starts next month. It was Nov 2001 before it became unvailable. Now that they have quite a few pre-adjudicated applications, they should be able to better forecast the dates it needs to move when the new fiscal year starts. Or, they might just move the date to Jan 02. Letz see in another month what the future says.

Please do not try to thwart the campaign. We are trying to address a specific issue, which is about blocking approvals when dates are current, and for that, we are using this current fiasco as an example. The USCIS memo specifically talks about EB2 india, china applicants on hold. Since EB3 was listed as U, we cannot do anything about it. If both EB2 and EB3 were current, I would have given a call to both. There is no belittling out here. the Circumstances are like that.
EB2 and EB3 are working together in the visa re-cpature.
This is a separate issue, but will be useful when visa re-capture is successful.

R u the primary applicant...so your wife got the interview...were u able to accompany her...so all the questions dealt with her....that's strange...I thought dependent applicant r not asked questions abt employment et al...

Yes, I'm the primary app. Both of us went for the inetrview..., we can do that... the questions were regarding both of us, like both of our employment letters, paystubs, W2s, since both of us are working, and also EAD, H1/H4 797s, etc of both us.
I have heard from the forums and also the attorney, that it is not unusual to call only the "derivative of the applicant"(spouse) for interview. But husband/wife may choose to accompany the spouse for the interview. Since I was there, I answered some of them too.

I am starting to see a trend in the receipt notices.
Some of the people reporting getting recepit notices this week (yesterday and today) have LUDs of 07/28/07. My thinking is that This week will see receipt notices for everyone with an LUD of 07/28/07
HOPEFULLY next week will see receipt notices for 08/05/2008. This is just my observation.
People please post your LUDs for your I-140, the service center AND how your receipt numbers start (SRC vs LIN) each time you post a receipt notice.
Can you let us know how to access LUD from USCIS after login? I think many will appreciate if you do so

Thats true, In every system there would be some kind of exploitation and looking at that USCIS banned this. But there are many more ppl have done..
Many came on L1 and got GC Quickly... Many Port EB3 to EB2 and got Quickly... Many got Quickly due to error on USCIS part... Many find them-self in EB2 due to Work exp etc some say only Masters should qualify for EB2... and obviously get GC Quickly... Some Got 140 Premium and got GC Quickly... Now ppl cant file 485 and get benefits until date becomes current and 140 approved... List continues...
Some are legitimate and some are not , It all matters in how you see it and how USCIS sees it.
If anyone gets year 1800's labour legally through their employer I would not find it problamatic. If someone gets it illegally by paying money or something I would call it wrong.
Most people who escaped the common class were smart to identify the undefined territories of the law. So legal fine, ILLEGAL wrong.
If I did not get the benefits I would be jealous, obviously.

The world of politics is driven by numbers; you do not have enough numbers to get any lawmaker interested. So wake up Macacas, admit it, you all are bunch of losers.
So far as the skills are concerned, you have been harping on the theme that you are highly skilled? If the definition of highly skilled is a mere undergrad degrees then 75% of Adult Americans are highly skilled. I bet not even 5% of you have PHDs and you call yourself highly skilled. Huhhh
And this for the leadership of your organization: You are wasting your time. If you are so desperate to get green cards contact me. If it is true, they have revised the process, and that is good. Hoever, it also depends on how the question was posed. If you asked whether processing is based on RD or ND, they will defnitely tell it is RD. One need to ask, which of two dates will determine case processing status, if your stamped RD is 3 months earlier than the receive date you see online. Note that the site tells you to contact them if your "receipt notice date" is prior to the published date, and you are still waiting. What is "receipt notice date"?
I did cearly tell her - both my RD and ND and asked her which one. She said there were some delays during that time to send a notice date hence the gap and it doesnt count.
